The Spiritual Gift

In ancient times, the great sages of India cured ailing patients with the spiritual power of mantras. Those great souls possessed an enormous repertoire of different mantras for different ailments. But as time passed these healing mantras fell virtually into oblivion.

Then, in the mid 20th century, a Saint appeared before nine-year-old Janak Shahi who was on a pilgrimage with his parents in Rishikesh, India. The saint bestowed upon him five mantras that he wrote on his right palm and instructed him to meditate for one hour every day continuously for ten years. The Saint also gave Janak the title "Tapasvi," a term acknowledging respect and holiness as a recognized Divine Spiritual Healer.

Janak recounted the event to his mother, Kesra Shahi, a devoted religious housewife who nurtured his gift. His father, Fulena Shahi, a simple farmer, also stood by his son and encouraged his work to help people. With the full support of his parents as a driving force, Janak was led to practice the "spiritual power of healing" for the good of mankind.
